We will protest till last ‘missing’ person of Balochistan is released: Mama Qadeer Baloch

Vice Chairman of the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), Mama Qadeer Baloch along with Hani Baloch met students and journalists at the Karachi Press Club to discuss setting up a protest camp for the recovery of the missing persons of Balochistan.

Speaking to the media, Mama Qadeer Baloch said that he will set up a protest camp in front of the Karachi Press Club for Baloch disappearances a few days later. “I asked the students from other fields, including political and social circles to join us in the protest. We will continue our protest till the release of the last missing person from Balochistan,” said Mama Qadeer Baloch.

The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) helps families register cases of missing persons and lodge petitions in courts. VBMP records data on enforced disappearances, releases press statement organises protests, rallies, hunger strike camps, and also facilitates the submission of first information reports and cases to Pakistani police stations and courts.

The VBMP had set up its protest and hunger strike camp in 2009 in the aftermath of unrest in Balochistan to mount pressure on the authorities in Pakistan to ensure the safe recovery of missing Baloch missing persons. VBMP says that more than 45000 Baloch have went missing over the last two decades.
