In a significant move the PTM’s United Kingdom arm, PTM UK has reached out to UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Geneva through a letter. In a letter addressed to the HCHR, Mr. TURK Volker, PTM UK has highlighted the “harassment, intimidation, arbitrary detention and torture of Afghan nationals/refugees in Pakistan.”

PTM UK emphasized that the precarious situation continues in Pakistan with impunity and law enforcement agencies have unleashed a reign of terror on Afghan migrants.

It is worth mentioning that the deadline given to Afghan migrants by Pakistan to voluntarily return to Afghanistan has ended on October 31st. Accordingly, Pakistan has started to arrest the undocumented Afghan civilians and put them into detention camps.
